1800s Redware Bean Pot

1800s Redware Bean Pot

  • Bean pots are so useful - I always use them as flower or plant holders.

This one is in excellent antique condition with a dry surface and a brown slip glaze in the inside to keep it water tight.   Small bits of glaze can be seen on the outside under the rim - this happened in firing.

Great size: 6" x 6 1/2" wide.  All hand made.

Found in New Hampshire and dating from the mid 1800s.
