This is a compact apple roaster used on the hearth.

It has two trays for the apples, rounded near the tip so that they don't fall out, a rounded hood with a carrying handle and 4 legs.

It could hold 8 apples at once which were roasted facing the fire.

Perfect antique condition.

Found in Massachuestts and dating from the mid 1800s.
