Very unusual and interesting candle lantern.  There are 2 protruding glass windows in metal "frames" with a metal guard over the front. 

One opens on a dooor and is latched with a hinged latch.

The top is punched, and it also has some punched design on the sides.

The candle socket is cleated through the bottom.

Carrying ring over  a 4 point disk.

12' tall including the carrying ring. 5 1/2" at its widest. 4 1/2" in diameter.

Found in New Hampshire and dating from about 1835.
