This little, framed marking sampler simply says "Love".  It is wool crossstitch on a card, framed in a period frame.

On the back of the piece I found this photo, set into, but not glued into the back.  It is a photo of a young man, taken by Abraham Bogardus of New York, who worked at the address listed on it between 1862-69.

Framed piece is 7 1/2" x 5 1/2".  Photo is 5 1/2" x 3 1/2".
