Early Cup Hanging Oil Lamp

  • Early, primitive oil or grease lamp in the shape of a cup with a very long spout with a wick in it.

    Tall, curved handle with a hanging hook.

    Lid is hinged and lifts up via a curved little handle which snaps shut.

    2 3/4" in diameter, 6 1/2" to top of handle.

    Found in New Hampshire and dating from the earlty 1800s.
