These small strap hinges were probably used on a trunk or interior door.

Pairs of straps were ofter slightly different in length, the longer on placed above the shorter one on a door.

Each has 3 holes for affixing - note that they are square holes.

They are 9 1/2" and 9" long.

Found in New Hampshire and dating from the late 1700s to the early 1800s.
