Beautiful, early theorem painting on velvet with stunning colors - turquoises, golds, green.
Painted by a schoolgirl in the 1830s-40s who used her own imagination in coloring the stenciled pattern.
The image is of a basket of fruit with gren leaves below it.
There is a note on the back which says: " Given to Ruth from Pauline Soule MacKinnon. Ruth had it framed in 1993".
Appropriate frame and mat with good color match.
Minor foxing and a slight fold in the middle.
Theorem is 8 1/2" x 6 3/4". Overall. it is 13" x 11".
