Very early glass. mirror in a mitered and molded frame with a heart crest.

My feeling about this mirror is that a scrap of a broken larger mirror was used to make this, forming a "courting Mirror" - hung near the door to be used just before seeing the gentleman.

The lovely heart crest has one broken wing - broken a long time ago.

Very sturdy, lovely frame, Small square brads, old hanging ring.
